Here are my finals. In the first "war" I created a pattern that reminded me of barbed wire fencing and filled a white "war" with the pattern. To me, it visually expresses the fencing in of war on society, physically and emotionally. In my second version, I used war in repetition as a readable pattern above and below the filled font. I am visually expressing two opposing forces closing in on each other. I found this project to be interesting in the way it forced me to reflect into "war's" definition, and emotional value, then further visually express it.
